How to Use
Follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions and the leaflet in the pack. As a general guide for adapalene gels:
- Wash the skin with a mild cleanser and pat it fully dry.
- Apply a thin layer to affected areas, usually once daily in the evening.
- Avoid eyes, lips, nostrils and mucous membranes.
- Use a moisturiser if the skin feels dry, and apply sunscreen in the daytime.
Retinoids work gradually. Expect weeks, not days, before judging results. Some dryness, redness or peeling is common early on.
