About Deriva MS Adapalene Gel

Deriva MS is an acne-management gel made by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. Each 15 g tube contains adapalene at 0.1% w/w in an aqueous gel base. Adapalene is a retinoid, and it is used on skin prone to blackheads, whiteheads and pimples.

How to Use

Follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions and the leaflet in the pack. As a general guide for adapalene gels:

1. Wash the skin with a mild cleanser and pat it fully dry.
2. Apply a thin layer to affected areas, usually once daily in the evening.
3. Avoid eyes, lips, nostrils and mucous membranes.
4. Use a moisturiser if the skin feels dry, and apply sunscreen in the daytime.

Retinoids work gradually. Expect weeks, not days, before judging results. Some dryness, redness or peeling is common early on.
