Overview
Melanofree 4% Triple Action Cream 30g is a medicinal cream that helps to cure conditions such as melasma, freckles, dark spots, skin discoloration, and post-acne inflammatory spots. Melanofree cream contains three different active compounds which are hydroquinone 4%, tretinoin 0.05%, and fluocinolone 0.01%.Hydroquinone decreases the level of melanin pigment in order to reduce the dark spots. Tretinoin enhances cellular turnover rate as well as increasing the absorption of the active compound in the body. Fluocinolone acts as a topical steroid in the reduction of inflammation in the skin brought about by the cream. This is because the above mentioned drugs are very powerful and therefore cannot be used for whitening purposes.
The cream will be useful in the reduction of dark spots but it cannot be used in case of elevated/indented spots. In case the patient is having elevated/indented spots after the development of acne, further assessment will be necessary.It is important to obtain the services of a medical professional before using the cream since the cream dries, peels, reddens, irritates, and sensitizes the skin to sun exposure.
How to use
- In the evening, wash the affected skin gently and wait until it is completely dry.
- Apply a very small amount as a thin layer only over dark spots or post-acne marks. Avoid spreading it across the entire face.
- Leave the cream on for approximately 30 minutes, rinse it off thoroughly and follow with a gentle moisturiser.
- Keep it away from the eyes, lips, nose corners, cuts and irritated skin. Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every morning and do not use it for longer than the recommended short treatment period.
