Aziderm 20% Gel includes azelaic acid which is a dicarboxylic acid naturally found which is used in dermatology in order to manage the problem of acne. Azelaic acid functions by decreasing the amount of bacteria involved in causing acne and regulating the excess production of keratin that leads to clogged pores. This way it can help decrease the occurrence of pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, swelling, and redness if it is applied regularly.
This percentage of azelaic acid is meant to be applied on clean and dry skin. As the gel is light in weight, it might be good for oily skin since it can easily be applied on it. It takes some time to obtain the desired effects and the product shouldn’t be applied more frequently in order to have quicker effects.
It is possible to experience some side effects like mild burning, stinging, dryness, itching, and redness especially while using it for the first time. Aziderm 20% Gel shouldn’t be applied on damaged skin and areas close to the eyes, mouth and other sensitive spots. How to use
- Wash the acne-prone area with a mild cleanser and gently pat the skin dry.
- Apply a small amount of gel in a thin, even layer over the affected skin, usually once or twice daily according to the prescription label.
- Allow the gel to absorb before applying moisturiser or makeup. Wash your hands after each application.
- Keep it away from the eyes, lips, mouth and broken skin. Reduce application if persistent dryness, burning or irritation develops.
