Overview

Tretinoin Cream USP Tretiheal 0.1% is manufactured for use in treating acne vulgaris through topical administration. It promotes the natural cell turnover on the surface layer of the skin as well as prevents build-up of dead skin cells within the pore walls. Proper and consistent application under medical supervision may assist in managing present breakouts and in preventing new outbreaks.This cream has a 0.1% concentration which is higher than what is found in 0.025% and 0.05% available creams. Dryness of skin, peeling, redness, warmth, burning sensation or stinging may occur, particularly during the initial period of therapy. The application of extra dosage or more frequent application does not hasten the effects but rather increases irritation.

Skin exposed to tretinoin becomes more prone to damage from the sun rays. Unprotected skin should be exposed to either natural or artificial sunlight as much as possible and sun precautions should be considered. This cream must not come into contact with the eyes, mouth, broken skin and other sensitive areas.Tretiheal 0.1% Cream is intended for external use and should not be treated as an ordinary cosmetic cream. The concentration, manufacturer details, batch number, expiry date and storage instructions should be checked on the original packaging

How to use

• Use the cream at night after washing the affected area with a gentle cleanser. Allow the skin to dry completely before application.
• Take a pea-sized amount and spread it lightly across the acne-prone area. Applying a thicker layer can increase dryness and irritation.
• Avoid applying near the eyes, lips, nose corners, cuts, eczema, sunburn or severely irritated skin. Wash your hands afterward.
• Apply a non-comedogenic moisturiser when needed and use broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning. If severe redness, swelling, blistering or discomfort occurs, stop using it and seek medical advice.
